About

About 20 years ago, I thought it’d be a good idea to get involved in the wondrous world of improv comedy. This brilliant decision led me to invest years in classes and countless hours of practice to gain the talent of getting on stage with nothing planned to entertain people I don’t know. For some reason, I fell in love with this crazy art and have gone on to study and perform at theaters across New York City, including The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, The Magnet Theater, The People’s Improv Theater, and the club Grove 34 in Astoria.

I'm also an independent coach and teacher. I lead corporate workshops, coach improv teams, and work with individuals on writing projects like sketch and stand-up comedy.  One of the best parts of my job is seeing things start to click for my students, leading to more success on stage.

Outside of improv, I'm a copywriter in the advertising industry. I’ve worked with agencies like BBDO, Grey, and Organic. I also spent a season writing for The New York Rangers, which earned me a Bronze Clio. Advertising is fun work that can also be very rewarding. I've worked on a range of projects and love it when I can bring my comedic sensibility to my advertising work. You can see a few samples of this in the copywriting section of this site.

When I’m not improvising or making ads, I enjoy cooking, following the Philadelphia Phillies, reading, listening to music, being a New Yorker, and wishing I had a dog.
