Who is this improviser?

I discovered improv comedy as a student at Lehigh University, but what hooked me was seeing A.S.S.S.S.C.A.T at the Upright Citizens Brigade over twenty years ago. That improv comedy show at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater blew my mind, and I signed up for classes as soon as I got home that night. After that moment, I’d go on to study with some of the best minds for improv comedy, including Armando Diaz, Mike Myers, TJ and Dave, Jason Mantzoukas,  Ed Herbstman, and many more. It’s been an incredible journey learning the art of making things up on stage with no safety net.

Teaching improv is a passion of mine. I’ve taught countless students the art of improv comedy. This includes acting students, corporate professionals, college students, and private teams. The best part of my job is seeing a concept click with a student that they can apply both on stage and off. Improv is a process, but my goal is for my students to learn at least one lesson in every session.

Outside of improv, I’m a professionally trained actor with a theater degree from Lehigh University, and I’ve studied acting and directing at The Atlantic Acting School. I’ve also studied film at The School of Visual Arts. Another aspect of my career has been my time in the advertising industry as a copywriter, where I’ve written comedy for brands such as Ford, Subway, The New York Rangers, and many more at agencies including Grey, BBDO, and Organic.

Today, I’m a professional improv teacher and a performer. I’m currently performing with my duo, Norwood, and as part of the excellent improv collective 700% at Grove 34 in Astoria. I always post the latest show on my site, and you can stay up to date by joining my mailing list or following me on Instagram

Thank you for visiting my site. I’d love to see you at a show or in the classroom!
